Quest guide · all sections

Where to start on a new character, what each solo story quest needs first, and which quests give you something other than Meseta. Everything below is read out of this server's own quest scripts.

Quests that give more than Meseta

Across every quest on the server, 20 hand over a weapon, frame, barrier, unit or ring rather than only money and consumables. Handing it over is not the same as being sure of getting it — several depend on something you do inside the run, and where nobody has written that down the entry says so.

4,500 Meseta

Gives

SOUL EATER

Only appears after you clear

3-3:Central Control, Doc's Secret Plan, Unsealed Door

And one more that the menu does not show you

Black Paper. This one is not listed as a requirement anywhere in the game. Without it the quest still runs and still pays, and simply never gives you the item.

How to actually get it
  1. Clear the three starter quests - Magnitude of Metal, Claiming a Stake, Battle Training. Nearly everything downstream is gated on all three.
  2. Clear the three Episode 1 government missions: 1-3 Subterranean Den, 2-4 Waterway Shadow, 3-3 Central Control. These are NOT solo-story quests, so a guide built from the solo list alone would not mention them.
  3. Clear Secret Delivery, Dr. Osto's Research, Unsealed Door and Doc's Secret Plan. Those four are what actually put From the Depths in the menu.
  4. Clear Black Paper. THIS ONE IS INVISIBLE: it appears nowhere in From the Depths' menu prerequisites. The quest reads the flag Black Paper sets and silently returns without giving anything if it is not set. You can start it, finish it, take the Meseta and never learn the sword existed.
  5. Have not already received it on this character. The quest checks a got-it-already flag on entry and sets it when it hands the sword over. One per character, permanently.
  6. Play through to the confrontation near the end and win it. The award fires from a floor handler on floor 9, after the scripted fight the quest builds to.
  7. Have a free inventory slot when it fires. From the Depths is one of the well-behaved ones and WILL tell you - and it does not reach the got-it-already flag on that branch, so a full inventory costs you the pickup but not your one chance at the sword. That is not universal; see the inventory warning.

Limits of this note: Five register tests guard the award block. Two are global quest flags and are established. The other three are local to the run - one set at a story beat partway through, two marking the sequence as already fired. They were read, not fully traced. This is source and script reading. Nothing here was tested in game.

Traced from the quest script, 2026-08-22. Nothing here was tested in game.

AOL CUP -Maximum Attack-Ep 1gives gearnotes written
What it pays

Weapons badges, found in boxes inside the quest and traded up with the man beside the bank on Pioneer 2: 3 Bronze for a Silver, 3 Silver for a Gold, and 3 Gold Weapons badges for your choice of Toy Hammer, Samba Maracas or Chameleon Scythe.

Client: Principal
Quest:
Defeat as many enemies
as you can in the
simulator within
the time limit.

*Edited by Silus

How to actually get it
  1. Where: an Episode 1 quest, in the Featured menu until about October 31, then in the daily rotation on the days it comes up.
  2. The Bronze Weapons badges are in boxes inside the quest: one in Cave 3, a whole room of boxes in Mine 1, and one box in each of three rooms in Mine 2. Break every box you pass - a box you skip is a badge you miss.
  3. The badge counter is the man standing beside the bank on Pioneer 2: bring him 3 Bronze for a Silver, and 3 Silver for a Gold.
  4. 3 Gold Weapons badges buy your choice of Toy Hammer, Samba Maracas or Chameleon Scythe. That is 27 Bronze badges in all, and one run's boxes hold about 19, so the prize takes more than one run.

Limits of this note: Not yet confirmed in game: whether every box in Mine 1's room of boxes appears (the quest's map lists fifteen there, several on the same spot), so the per-run total may be lower than 19. Where the boxes sit in Cave 3 and Mine 2 depends on which of the quest's two map layouts you get.

And four that were once filed as shops. Read properly, they are ordinary rewards — here is what each one pays.

AOL CUP -Sunset Base-Ep 1gives gearnotes written
What it pays

100 Meseta per run. On Hard and above, a Cell of MAG 502 for helping a lovesick Rappy with his letter in Forest 2, once per character. Weapons shields, Photon Drops and Akiko's Wok are paid for with Gold Weapons badges from AOL CUP -Maximum Attack- — the Episode 1 quest in the Daily Quests menu on the days it rotates in, not Maximum Attack 2, MAXIMUM ATTACK 1 Ver2 or a Maximum Attack 4th Stage quest.

Client: Rapeel
Quest:
A strange request has
arrived via mail.
It seems that somebody
desperately needs help.

How to actually get it
  1. Forest 2 — on Hard or higher, follow the Rappies' side story and get Rapyos's love letter to Rapymes; go back to Rapyos and he gives you a Cell of MAG 502. Once per character: after that he still talks, but gives nothing.
  2. The fountain on the last area — throw Gold Weapons badges one at a time; every third throw pays: a Bronze Weapons shield, then the Silver (it takes the Bronze), then the Gold (it takes the Silver), then a Photon Drop for every three more. Keep your newest shield in your pack.
  3. Pioneer 2 — on Hard or higher, carry any Weapons shield and talk to the woman who asks about an old man: she gives you Akiko's Wok.
  4. Gold Weapons badges come only from AOL CUP -Maximum Attack- — an Episode 1 quest in the Daily Quests menu on the days it is in the rotation (this guide: Shops and exchanges, "When it is in the daily rotation"). Not Maximum Attack 2, MAXIMUM ATTACK 1 Ver2 or any Maximum Attack 4th Stage quest. At its badge counter on Pioneer 2, 3 Bronze make a Silver and 3 Silver make a Gold.
Rappy's HolidayEp 1gives gearno notes yet
What it pays

500 Meseta gets you into a minigame with prizes.

Rappy's Holiday is not a shop, but keep a free inventory slot before you use the battery at its computer: with a full pack the computer does not start, and the quest says nothing about why.

The Rappies are having
a festival. Participate
and get excited.
