How to start playing

Four steps. You will end up with two logins: a portal account for this website, and a game account for the game itself.

  1. Create your portal account

    Sign up with your email address and a password. This is your login for this website only, not for the game.

    We email you a link: open it to confirm your address. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder; you can send it again from your dashboard.

  2. Make your game account

    On your dashboard, choose a game username and password. This is what you log in to the game with. It is separate from your portal login, and can have a different password.

    Usernames are up to 16 characters: letters, numbers and dashes. Passwords are up to 16 characters. Your email has to be confirmed first.

  3. Download the client

    Once your game account is set up, the download appears on your dashboard.

    • Windows only.
    • The installer is about 640 MB.
    • No administrator rights needed: it installs for your Windows user, with no admin prompt.

    The first time you run it, Windows may show a blue box titled “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info, check it says App: SilusPSO-win-Setup.exe, then click Run anyway.

    It says “Unknown publisher” because the installer is not code-signed, not because anything is wrong. Your browser may also say the file is not commonly downloaded, for the same reason. Only install a copy you downloaded from your own dashboard, never one someone sends you.

  4. Launch and play

    Open SilusPSO from your Start menu or desktop. Log in with your game account from step 2, not your portal email, and play.

    The launcher keeps the client up to date. When an update is ready, it offers it before you play.

Trouble?

  • The game closes or crashes as it startsUpdate the client: open the launcher and take the update. Version 1.4.0 fixes a crash on start that appeared after a recent Windows update. The version is shown at the bottom of the launcher window.
  • The confirmation email never cameCheck your spam folder, then use Send it again on your dashboard.
